A Re-Post From Snow of Dear Bloggery
Schoolgirl Starved to Death after Dental Operation
An 8-year old British girl who was terrified of dentists refused to eat or even talk after all her milk teeth were taken out has been reported dead last December 2, 2008. The kid named Sophie Waller was found dead in her bed at home despite attempts to feed her and treating the trauma caused by the dental operation.
It was later noted by a pathologist to the inquest that Sophie had died of acute renal failure from starvation and dehydration.
As a mother, I personally believe that the parents should have taken precautions in encouraging the child to undergo a dental operation. Gosh, I mean - a single tooth extraction can make an adult petrified to see the dentist so what more for an 8-year old child to be pulled out of all her baby teeth?
I honestly find this news so tragic and I personally believe that the child’s death is senseless. To Sophie, God bless you and I hope you are now happy in heaven.

Prayers For Aden (A Repost From Penlighted)
Prayers for Aden Harrington
Aden is a beautiful 3-year old boy. He loves trains, his grandparents, reading, his half-day school and friends. He is smart, handsome and full of life.Aden was diagnosed on January 6, 2009 with Stage 4 Kidney Cancer. It has already metastasized to his lungs.
He showed few signs of being sick, except for the fact that he was taking a bit too long to recover from a common cold. His parents noticed a little lump on his side just under Aden's ribcage. They took him to a pediatrician thinking he probably had mono.
Please include Aden in your prayers...

A Re-Post from Faith and Facts
Girl Selling Virginity Online
Natalie Dylan is selling her virginity via online auction.
The Moonlite Bunny Ranch in Nevada, the brothel that is arranging and hosting the deal, is especially gung-ho about Dylan. “Natalie is a virgin and would like to sell this priceless and rare commodity in a very exclusive and private setting,” says Bunny Ranch owner Dennis Hof.
While any reasonable person should question the commodity’s rarity, more than 10,000 bidders have stepped forward to bid for Dylan’s … ah … purity. If the Bunny Ranch’s owner is to be believed, someone has offered $3.7 million.
What does the feminist community have to say about this outrageous exploitation of this young girl? Not much so far. Searching Google yields only the faintest and infrequent article suggesting that a feminist is uncomfortable with this sexploitation. I, for one, am nearly speechless.
My friend Sarah is a reliable monitor of Feminism from a Christian perspective. She writes,
The lack of moral outrage by feminism doesn’t surprise me as contemporary feminism has discarded the good it once represented in order to promote a completely unfettered lifestyle. Women are free to be exploited themselves, and this is somehow empowering. In fact, I’d go so far as to suggest that by creating a culture where women’s bodies, eggs, and chastity are up for sale, ‘created’ is a pleasant (euphemism) for human trafficking. There is no need for restraint in a world where individuals willingly put a price tag on what is priceless.
What about the FBI? What about the police? Can the FTC do anything? No. No. and No.
Legal experts seem agreed that this is a First Amendment issue. Since prostitution is legal in Nevada, the services may be advertised in areas where it would be illegal so long as the service is performed in a state where it is legal. (I feel a little dirty just writing that sentence.)
One does not have to a prude or a stereotypical Puritan to take offense at this advertisement. Let us call this what it is; Sex for Sale. Whether to pay for college or perform some perverted sociological experiment, tolerating such behavior can only harm future generations of young women.

6th Beneficiary of God's Power Blessings _ Esther
Queen Esther - The Jewish Jewel of the Persian Empire Esther is a story of stoic faith in God by a faithful servant who did not shirk her divine responsibility even at the risk of losing her own life. Amidst the backdrop of the mighty Persian empire of the Medes, Esther became queen of the entire empire when the reigning queen found disfavor in the eyes of the king. Esther was chosen from among all the lady candidates of the entire empire for the position of the new queen. She shared this powerful story of the Jewish struggles in Persia after the downfall of the Babylonian empire with her wise uncle- Mordecai. But a wicked prime minister of the king who was bestowed full honors plotted revenge against Mordecai for the latter's failure to pay him homage. His name was Haman. He tricked the king to issue a decree that would annihilate all Jews in the empire. Upon hearing this, Mordecai sought the queen's help to plead the cause of the Jews before the king. Knowing the law that forbids any person from entering the presence of the king unless summoned, Ester agreed and uttered this most famous line, "I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish."
Queen Esther was able to convince the king to repeal the law and Mordecai became the new prime minsiter and the wicked Haman was hanged in his own gallows. The triumph of the Jews over their adversaries is being celebrated up to this day in the feast of Purim in honor of the valiant queen who stood by her people in the face of certain death. God blessed both queen Esther and Mordecai with power and wealth second only to the king of Persia.

5th Beneficiary of God's Power Blessings - Joshua

Joshua - Champion of God and The Israelites
Joshua was briefly described in the Bible as the son of Nun. But his last words to the Israelites ran through up to this day, the words that all faithful servants of the Lord declare to the world- "But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord."
Joshua was the faithful commander of the army of Israel during the time of Moses and after the death of Moses. Moses and he led the Israelites out of the land of their bondage- Egypt. Only he and Caleb were able to cross over the promise land of Canaan. That was because they believed the words of God and became faithful to Him. When Moses died without ever setting foot on the promise land, Joshua was conferred by God the honor of being the champion of the liberated Israelites tasked to lead them to cross over the promise land.
To accentuate God's favor and mighty support of Joshua, two significant miracles were performed by God to help the Israelites and show His whole hearted support of Joshua. He stopped the river Jordan like what He did at the Red Sea so that the Israelites could cross over to the other side. Then the Lord made the sun to stand still for a whole day until all the enemies of Israel at Gibeon were soundly defeated. It was Joshua who parceled out all the land conquered in Canaan to the twelve tribes of Israel with two and a half tribe getting the land before the river Jordan. Joshua was blessed by the Lord until the day of his death and was revered by the Israelites as their great hero and commander of the Lord's army.

4th Beneficiary of God's Power Blessings - Daniel

Daniel - God saved him from the lion's den
Daniel was among those who were taken into captivity to Babylon after the first fall of Jerusalem. Daniel, together with Meshach, Shadrach and Abedneggo refused to eat the sumptuous fares being given to them in Babylon but instead convinced their caretaker to give them kosher (clean) food such as fruits and vegetables to eat. Daniel, like Joseph, was given by God the wisdom to interpret dreams which he did to king Nebuchadnezzar. Because of the accurate interpretation, Daniel was elevated to one of the highest positions in all of Babylon. The other officials despised him since he was highly esteemed by everybody because of his wisdom and the probity of his ways. Since his detractors could not find any fault in him, they convinced the king to issue a decree that anyone who will pray to any god or man during the next thirty days except to the king shall be thrown into the lion's den. When Daniel learned about this, he went home to his upstair room where the windows opened towards Jerusalem and prayed there three times a day. His detractors reported this to the king and the king had no choice but to order that Daniel be thrown into the lion's den. The following day, when the king and all the officials of the palace visited Daniel in the lion's den, they found him alive and being licked playfully by the lions. The king ordered that the detractors of Daniel be thrown into the lion's den and they were mauled and eaten by the lions. On many occasions have Daniel interpreted dreams and signs for the king and they all came to reality. God also gave Daniel prophecies for the end times which corresponded with the prophecies in the Book of Revelation. God's gracious favor with Daniel was exemplified by the words of an angel which said that God was already answering Daniel's prayer although he has just started praying it.
