VIGNETTES FROM THE PEARLY GATES Series # 4

VIGNETTES FROM THE PEARLY GATES

SERIES # 4

16) Are you suffering from anxiety because you are being severely oppressed
by the enemy? Are your blessings being stolen by the enemy right before
your very eyes? Are you being bothered by temptations beguiling you
and weakening your strong resolve? Hold on then to God's promise,
"Submit yourself then to God, resist the devil and he will flee
from you. Come near to God and He will come near to you."
(James 4: 7- 8)

17) As we awake each morning, let us dedicate our whole day to the Lord -
our words, deeds and thoughts. Let us offer them to the Lord as a sweet
offering- a fragrant aroma before Him. Let us join all creation- the angels
in heaven and the saints on earth, in giving Him praise and adoration.
"So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for
the glory of God." (1 Corinthians 10: 31)

18) To those whose very lives are totally surrendered to the Lord; to those
who have already abdicated self gain for the glory of God's kingdom; to
those who suffer persecutions and calumny from unbelievers and believers
alike for espousing God's principles, Congratulations! This is for you,
"I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but
Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in
the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me."
(Galatians 2: 20)

19) Are you always worrying that tomorrow will bring more problems that
tend to overwhelm you? Do you feel that you are just going around in circles
with nowhere else to go? Then turn to Jesus and, "Do not be anxious
about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with
thanksgiving, present your request to God. And the peace of
God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts
and your minds in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4: 6- 7)

20) Are you at the crossroad of your life and is uncertain as to what course of
action you must take? Are you planning something but you are not sure
whether you will succeed or not? Are your decisions determined by human
wisdom and counsels of others? Learn then to, "Trust in the Lord with
all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all
your ways, acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths."
(Proverbs 3: 4- 5)

SMILE. GOD LOVES YOU NO MATTER WHAT!
